How do I get my Steam I D?
Enabling the Console
If you don't have the console already enabled and don't know how to enable it, proceed reading through this tutorial or go to The Easy Way of Obtaining your Steam ID.
If you already have your console enabled, you can skip this part.
Go to your Steam games list and look for Garry's Mod. Right click on Garry's Mod and click properties.
A window should pop up. Continue by pressing "Set launch options...".
Another window should popup, and this time will contain an input box. Type in or append -console into that input box as shown above, and press OK.
You're done. The next time you start Garry's Mod, your console will be enabled for you to use. Remember, that you won't be able to enable it again if you close it unless you have a button binded to toggleconsole.
Getting your Steam ID
Connect to the Garry's Mod server, or another server if you please.
After you have joined the server and spawned, type status in the command line of the console.
A list of connected players along with useful information will be printed to your console. Find your name in that list.
When you have found your name, copy or note down the part with STEAM_0:X:*numbers* by your name.
For example, as seen above, The Steam ID of Karlicious is STEAM_0:0:13377050.
The Easy Way of Obtaining your Steam ID
Connect to the Garry's Mod server.
When connected and spawned in the server, type !steamid in the chat.
Note down your Steam ID as printed in the chatbox.
Please remember, that this feature (!steamid) is only guaranteed to be on our server. We don't know if it exists on other servers as well, so make sure that you're on our server.
How to use the Reserved Slots
I'm going to assume that you already have toggled the console.
Type "connect sandbox.aprilon.net" (bind it to a button if you wish) if the server is full.
You'll be connected if both of the reserved slots are not already in use (although the chance of someone else leaving is high).
